A magician who gained invisibility, but gave up his soul in return.
- Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin
The Invisible Man first makes his appearance in the aptly titled ‘The Invisible Man’ written by H.G. Wells. You could choose to read it here and promptly close the window because SPOILERS!
The original invisible man was not a magician, he was a scientist - a gifted medical student to be precise. He made no explicit deals to give up his soul in exchange invisibility, but rather committed many morally repugnant acts in his attempt to achieve and reverse the process. He also had a habit of stripping in order to runaway.
Much like in the book, when spotted this enemy strips and attacks you, taking advantage of the fact he’s near invisible. When you kill this enemy, his battered body is visible because of all the dripping blood and open flesh. A fitting end mimicking the manner in which Griffon dies.
